LOCAL COMPARISONS

Workbook Compare Pro reads selected Excel, CSV, and TSV files on the user's
computer. Workbook cell contents, formulas, styles, images, and worksheet data
are not sent to the software provider by the application.

LICENSING

Trial and license validation run locally. The Installation ID is created from a
one-way hash of a Windows machine identifier and does not reveal the underlying
identifier. The application does not automatically transmit the Installation
ID or license code. A customer may choose to send the Installation ID to the
provider to receive a machine-bound license.

When the user chooses Release this computer, the application saves a local
record that blocks normal reuse of that license on the old computer and creates
a transfer receipt. The receipt contains the customer name, license ID, old
Installation ID, release time, and signed license code. It does not contain
workbooks, projects, suites, comparison results, or Windows account details.
The receipt is copied or sent only when the user chooses to share it.

UPDATES

An update check occurs only when the user selects Check for updates. If a future
release adds automatic checks, that choice will be explained before it is used.
The request includes
the application name and version through standard web-request information. As
with any web request, the update host may receive an IP address and ordinary
server-log information. Workbook contents and comparison results are not part
of the update request.

DIAGNOSTICS

Diagnostic reports are created locally and are not uploaded automatically. The
default report uses file names rather than full local paths and excludes cell
contents, formulas, images, license codes, and the underlying Windows machine
identifier. The user should review a report before choosing to share it.

TELEMETRY AND CRASH REPORTING

Version 0.9.14 does not include analytics, advertising tracking, automatic crash
uploading, or background telemetry.

CONTACT AND FINALIZATION

Before public sale, this draft must be updated with the provider's legal name,
contact method, effective date, retention practices for customer correspondence,
and any disclosures required in the regions where the Software is offered.
