Download for WindowsWhich file formats can I compare?
Excel .xlsx workbooks and values-only .csv and .tsv files. Export Google Sheets to .xlsx when formatting matters, or to CSV for values. Legacy .xls files need to be saved as .xlsx first. This preview does not support .xlsm files.
Does it change or recalculate my workbooks?
Ordinary comparison and review do not change your source files. Formula text and saved workbook values can be compared, but the app does not calculate formulas. A separate, explicitly confirmed baseline-acceptance action can replace a baseline and creates a safety backup.
Can I compare repeated report output?
Yes. Save your paths and options in a comparison project, then reuse it for later output. Regression Suites can run multiple saved projects. Excel comparison preserves exact row and column positions, which is useful for consistent report layouts.
Will my workbook data be uploaded?
No workbook contents are uploaded by the desktop app. Comparisons run locally. You choose whether to check for updates or send a diagnostic report to support. Read the privacy information for the website and support email.
How will activation and computer transfers work?
Licenses are tied to one computer. When purchases open, you’ll send your Installation ID and order reference to support, then receive an activation code manually. To move a license, release the old computer and send its transfer receipt with the new Installation ID. If the old computer is unavailable, contact support.
Why does Windows warn about the installer?
The current preview installer does not have a code-signing certificate. That can trigger an unknown-publisher or SmartScreen warning. Use the download and checksum on this site. Do not disable antivirus or other Windows protections to install it.
