Create a suite
A regression suite is a list of saved comparison projects. For example, you might have separate projects for North, South, and Central reports, each with its own locations and options.
- Save each comparison as a .wcp project first.
- Open Regression suites at the top of the app.
- Click Add projects… and select the projects.
- Leave Run checked for projects you want included. Uncheck a project to keep it in the list but skip it for now.
- Use ↑ and ↓ to choose the order.
- Click Save as… to save a .wcps suite, then Run suite.
Projects run one at a time and are read from disk. The suite references them; it does not embed their workbooks or results.
Manage the list
New, Open…, Save, and Save as… manage the suite file. Remove takes a project out of the suite without deleting the project or its data.
Adding the same project path twice is skipped and reported as already in the suite. If you want the same files checked with different settings, save two distinct projects first.
Read suite outcomes
| Outcome | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Passed | Every file result in that enabled project was Same. |
| Failed | The project found Different or Missing / new results. |
| Error | A project or source could not be read, a comparison failed, or no file results completed. |
| Skipped | The project was not enabled, or cancellation prevented it from completing. |
Click View results beside a completed project to inspect its normal file results and details. A pass is still based on that project’s selected tolerance and ignore rules.
Cancel and save evidence
Cancel suite requests a safe stop. Completed results remain. The interrupted project and unstarted projects are marked Skipped with an explanation. A cancelled run is not proof that every check passed.
When the run stops or finishes, choose Save dated HTML report or Export summary CSV. Save your reports before editing the suite list, since that clears its displayed results.
The HTML report is self-contained and can be opened or printed in a browser. It includes paths, counts, timing, categories, and summaries, but no source cell values, formulas, or images.
